Rotundo Rocks THE COVE INN

Toronto harpmaster/singer/songwriter DAVID ROTUNDO and his band absolutely rocked THE COVE INN, Westport last weekend. This was David's 5th visit to BLUES ON THE RIDEAU since the Series started 8 years ago - his 4th year in a row - the most of any artist. Once again he filled the house both nights. BOTR fans just can't seem to get enough of him. The dance floor was packed all night long with encores demanded both nights. Backed by a tight band that included John McCann on drums, Michel Facen on bass and Des "Downtown" Brown on guitar David sang, jumped, sweated, danced and blew harp "as if madly possessed by the ghosts of Sonny Boy Williamson, Little Walter and George Harmonica Smith". His performance included a 10 minute walkabout through the room as he serenaded just about everybody who was there.Sadly piano man JULIAN FAUTH was unable to make the trip as planned since he developed pneumonia last week and was simply too sick to perform. Our thoughts and prayers go out to him for a full and speedy recovery.

Here's what some of the attendees had to say about their evening:
